LOT 410
A George IV silver goblet, the ovoid bowl with engraved inscription 'From the Empress Eugenie to George Woodford August 1886' within a chased rococo scroll, rocaille and floral surround and band, on a short stem and similarly decorated circular foot with reeded edge, London 1819 by Charles Fox, weight 202.4g, height 15.5cm. Note: Princess Eugenie (1826-1920) was Empress of the French on her marriage to Emperor Napoleon III in 1853.
