(Toning, some creasing to rear leaves.) Contemporary calf (heavily rubbed, some surface loss). Note: John Hamilton Moore was born in Edinburgh, educated in Ireland, and joined the Royal Navy at Plymouth and became a teacher of navigation. In 1770 he established a Nautical Academy in Brentford but is perhaps best known as the publisher of Blueback Nautical Charts.
