London: T. and W. Boone, 1847. 2 vols., first edition, 8vo (209 x 133mm.) 2 folding engraved maps, 16 aquatint plates and 3 wood-engraved plates, several wood-engraved illustrations. (Browning to margins, staining from S1-S7 in volume one, occasional spotting.) 21st century half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, red and green morocco lettering pieces to the spines (endpapers replaced).
