A mid-18th century style red chinoiserie lacquered longcase clock, the eight day three train movement chiming quarters on eight bells and striking hours on a larger bell, the brass break arch dial with rolling moon and inscribed 'John Hallifax London', the case later decorated in gilt with figures and birds, height 245cm, width 48cm, depth 24cm, together with two weights, pendulum and winder (alterations and restoration).
