A George III mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking hours on a bell, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with silvered strike/silent indicator to arch above a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds, date aperture and silvered plaque, signed 'John Thomson London', the arched hood with three brass ball finials above a pierced fretwork pediment, glazed door and brass stop fluted columns, on a panelled base and bracket feet, height 227cm, with pendulum and two brass cased weights (some faults and alterations).
