LOT 308
A late Victorian silver mounted cut glass and tortoiseshell inkstand, the central globular cut glass inkwell with silver pierced and embossed scrolling floral and foliate shoulder beneath a hinged lid, on a shaped rectangular tortoiseshell base supported by four scroll legs, London 1891 and 1892 by Atkin Brothers, retailed by Asprey & Sons, length 13cm (minor faults), together with a silver mounted tortoiseshell matchbox sleeve with floral and foliate embossed decoration, Birmingham 1894 by Henry Matthews, length 7.8cm, and a silver mounted tortoiseshell lidded cut glass dressing table jar with piqué inlaid decoration, Birmingham 1916 by Mappin & Webb, height 7cm.
