LOT 1099
A Chinese blue and white porcelain bottle vase, mark of Qianlong but later Qing dynasty, the globular body and cylindrical narrow neck painted with figures and pavilions in a mountainous coastal landscape, underglaze blue six-character mark to base, height 38cm, with carved hardwood stand. Provenance: purchased in the early 1900s by the current vendor's great-grandfather, Albert Purden, who was an inspector in the Hong Kong police force before retiring in 1925, and thence by descent.
