A Chinese white glazed porcelain 'Tibetan monk's cap' ewer and cover, mark of Yongle, the globular body with tapered neck and flared rim, elongated spout and curved strap handle with ruyi-head thumbpiece, the cover and body faintly incised with scrolling tendrils, Buddhistic emblems and a Tibetan inscription band around the body, covered in a pale bluish-white glaze, incised four-character mark to base, height 17.4cm.
