Note: a mentor to the Kray twins, Hill organised the £254,000 mailbag robbery of 1952 and the bullion robbery of 1954. During this time his bodyguard was 'Mad' Frankie Fraser. In the 1960's, after the publication of his autobiography, he worked with John Aspinall at the Clermont Club to fleece wealthy patrons at the gaming tables.
