A Victorian cast iron and brass measuring dial, the 10-inch silvered circular dial with red inches scale and black inner feet scale, inscribed 'George Jennings Stangate London' above 'Jennings & Brewer Patentees', height 55.7cm. Note: George Jennings (1810-1882) was a celebrated English hydraulic and sanitary engineer and plumber, who worked from his Stangate works on the Lambeth Palace Road, London. He invented the first public flush toilet and won numerous awards.
