A late 19th century brass mounted and red tortoiseshell boulle cased watch stand, the balloon shaped case with cherub surmount and hinged front door, on a brass plinth base and ball feet, height 26.5cm, fitted with a George IV silver pair cased pocket watch, the fusee movement with verge escapement and pierced and engraved balance cock, the backplate detailed 'Willm Holt Petworth 19419', the white enamelled dial with black Arabic hour numerals, both cases London 1828, outer case diameter 5.8cm.
