David Jagger - 'Modern Negro', early 20th century oil on canvas-board, signed recto, titled label verso, 59.5cm x 49.5cm, within a painted composition frame. Note: this is almost certainly the work (bearing the same title) exhibited at the Royal Institute of Oil Paintings in 1936.
