Continental School - Portrait of a Bearded Gentleman wearing a Black Jacket with Chivalric Orders, 19th century oil on canvas, stencils verso, 97.5cm x 77.5cm, within a gilt composition frame. Note: this work was offered by Christie's on 7th February 1975, lot no. 201; according to the catalogue description, a signature 'L.Armin' and date of 1875 could be observed at the time.
