A pair of Chinese military style silk embroidered rank badges, early 20th century, each worked in coloured threads with a Buddhistic lion standing on a rock, surrounded by a peach branch, bats, vapours and auspicious objects, all above crashing waves on a black ground, 28cm x 30cm, together with another rank badge, decorated in gilt thread with a qilin standing on a rock amidst flowers and vapours on a black ground, 26cm x 25.5cm.
