A gold and ruby oval hinged bangle, last quarter of the 19th century, the front mounted with five oval cut rubies within a circular motif with bead and wirework decoration, further set with four cushion cut rubies at intervals, the back glazed with a locket compartment, otherwise with foliate engraved decoration, on a snap clasp, fitted with a safety chain, unmarked, weight 18g, inside width 5.7g.
