Second edition, 4to (264 x 209mm.) 1 folding letterpress table, 27 engraved plates including 5 maps with 2 hand-coloured, and 1 folding hand-coloured geological section, errata verso p.vii. (Plates 1-3 with spotting, thereafter mainly marginal spotting, toning.) Contemporary calf, red morocco lettering piece to the spine (rebacked, original spine laid-down, minor rubbing). Provenance: Lord Francis Gray (armorial bookplate to the front pastedown); L.R. Wager, geologist (name inscribed to the front-free endpaper); by descent, from the estate of Rendel Williams.
