DUMAS, Alexandre. Le Comte de Monte-Christo [sic.] Bruxelles: Sociétié Belge de Librairie, 1845. 6 vols. in 3, 12mo (151 x 91mm.) Half-titles, separate titles. (Lacking front and rear blanks, toning, occasional spotting.) Contemporary red half morocco over marbled paper-covered boards, black morocco lettering pieces to the spines (minor spoiling and residue to pastedown of third volume, rubbing to extremities). Note: not in Reed. An early Belgian pirated edition which has the misspelling of 'Cristo' for 'Christo' in the title. Provenance: Eliza Grey (name inscribed to front pastedown); H.J. Sadler (name-plate to front-free endpaper of third volume) (3).
