A substantial pre-Columbian Olmec style carved pale green hardstone standing male figure, possibly 900-450 BC, finely modelled possibly as a ballplayer, holding a ceremonial celt to his body, height 22.5cm. Provenance: from the estate of a West Sussex collector.
