An Egyptian carved wooden funerary statuette depicting Ptah-Sokar-Osiris, probably circa 750-200 BC, modelled as the amalgamation of Osiris, Sokar and Ptah in mummiform, the surface with some remnants of original decoration and inscription to reverse, height 39cm. Note: this lot is accompanied by correspondence with John H. Taylor of The British Museum.
