Two Japanese Chubei porcelain vases, Meiji period, one of globular form, painted with sparrow and chrysanthemum on a pale pink 'shark skin' effect ground, iron red painted marks to base, height 11.1cm, the other of ovoid form, painted with a wading bird on a similar pale blue ground, black painted marks to base, height 9.7cm.
