A Japanese carved wood netsuke, Meiji period, finely modelled as a seated oni with parasol slung over his shoulder and an ivory stick resting in the crook of his arm, metal bangles to wrist and both ankles, inset boxwood signature plaque to underside, height 2.8cm. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.
