LOT 1159
A late 19th century Continental brass mounted carved walnut mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the case in the form of a building with simulated tiles above a pair of corner columns and simulated brickwork, the front inscribed 'Anno 1529', height 47cm, with pendulum (movement detached). Note: the date 'Anno 1529' inscription to the front of the case may be commemorating the siege of Vienna, which lasted just over two weeks from 27th September to 15th October 1529.
