An early 20th century black enamelled brass ship's timepiece, the 8-day Coventry Astral movement with platform escapement, the circular dial with Roman hour numerals, slow/fast indicator and inscribed 'Smith 8 Day', the cylindrical case with glazed front door, mounted on a wood backplate, diameter 24.5cm, together with a similar brass circular cased ship's timepiece with Smiths Astral movement, diameter 22.5cm.
