A late 18th century rhinoceros horn cup and cover, dated 1785, the removable lid and sides with foliate engraved decoration, the side with an incised line of script 'Rhinoceros bicornis Capensis, in venatú Casús a Coll: Gordon. Ao 1785', height 8cm, diameter 9cm (splits to edge of top). Note: as this lot incorporates rhinoceros horn, it would be very unlikely that a re-export certificate would be granted beyond the UK. Customers outside the UK are requested NOT to bid on this item.
