A Second World War period Japanese NCO's katana with curved single-edged fullered blade, blade length 69.5cm, numbered '61537', with bronzed white metal tsuba and cast aluminium grip, retaining traces of original paint, with bronze-finished metal scabbard (lacking suspension ring) and award certificate, dated 1st Oct 1947, presenting the sword to Captain D.M. Eynon of the 1st Battalion Chin Rifles, No. 61537.
