Cyprian Kamil Norwid - Rusalki (Water Nymphs), ink with watercolour wash, signed and dated 1852, 15.5cm x 10cm, within a gilt frame. Provenance: Konstancji Gorskiej (Konstancja Gorska) a friend of the artist, thence by descent to her niece Ludwika, and Ludwika's son Stanislaw; in the collection of the Karnkowski family of Lazy by 1940; acquired by the current vendors grandfather from a Polish emigre. References: Dr Edyta Chlebowska 'Z Norwidowskiego Archiwum Zenona Przesmyckiego (2): Opisy Rysunkow Norwida Z Albumu Konstancji Gorskiej' published in 'Studia Norwidiana' 29:2011.
