A Japanese Satsuma earthenware circular plate by Ryokuzan, painted and gilt with a fan shaped panel filled with a coastal scene of figures on a shoreside, boats and mountains beyond, gilt five-character text to upper section of panel and gilt three-character mark and iron red seal mark to left edge of panel, all reserved against a ground of flowers within an iron red and gilt keyfret rim, gilt signature to base, diameter 21.4cm.
