A Japanese two-fold screen, Meiji period, one side painted with a group of bijin and children playing hanetsuki in a landscape, within silk mounts and ebonized frame, height 152.3cm, length 141cm. Note: hanetsuki is a traditional New Year's game similar to badminton, but without a net and played with wooden paddles (hagoita).
