A Chinese famille rose porcelain bowl, mark of Tongzhi and probably of the period, of fluted octagonal form, the exterior enamelled with eight Buddhistic emblems, the interior turquoise glazed beneath a gilt rim, iron red enamelled seal mark to base, height 5.6cm, width 13.8cm, together with a later carved and pierced hardwood stand.
