A pair of Japanese Fukagawa Koransha Imari black ground porcelain jars and covers, Meiji/Taisho period, each compressed circular body beneath a domed cover, each painted and gilt with sparrows and butterflies flying amidst flowers, bamboo and blossoming and fruiting branches on a matt black ground, underglaze blue mark to cover interiors, heights 22cm (one cover damaged).
