A French porcelain butter tub and cover, probably Boisette, late 18th century, of oval shape with upright lug handles, painted in underglaze blue with flowers and insects beneath a geometric band against a moulded rim, the cover with entwined scroll handle, incised mark to base, length 12.5cm (minor nicks to handle of cover).
