A large Ridgway porcelain dessert centrepiece, circa 1845, painted to the centre with a basket of flowers within a pierced cobalt blue rim gilt and enamelled with foliate scrollwork, beneath scroll handles with floral terminals, raised on a similar decorated waisted stem and spreading foot, unmarked, diameter 34.5cm, pattern No. 5952, together with a matching pair of smaller comports, diameter 24cm, and a similar pair of botanically painted low-footed oval shaped dishes, puce painted factory marks, pattern No. 5596, length 29cm.
