A Chinese brass mounted hardwood folding horseshoe back armchair (jiaoyi), late Qing dynasty, probably huanghuali, the horseshoe top rail terminating in outswept handrests supported by the curled extensions of the front legs, the splat back carved with a ruyi head motif above footrest and stretchers, height 112cm, width 74.5cm.
