A Tibetan thangka, late 19th/early 20th century, depicting Hvashang seated beside a table of offerings above a group of playful children, the lower left corner with the two guardians of the four directions, Virudhaka wielding the sword of the south and Dhritarashtra, the guardian of the east, playing a lute, 48cm x 36cm, the back printed in red with a stupa and script, mounted within a silk floral surround. Provenance: from the estate of a West Sussex collector.
