A Chinese orange ground porcelain jar and domed cover, early 20th century, the ovoid body painted with three roundels, each filled with a farmer carrying panniers over his shoulder and four black characters, within a blue ground millet-filled frame, reserved against an iron red/orange ground, the decoration repeated on the cover, unmarked, height 22.3cm (starcrack to base).
