LOT 1333
A George III Scottish oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the painted breakarch dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed 'David Craig Ford Perthhead', the hood with swan neck pediment and brass ball finial above a glazed door, the arched trunk door flanked by a pair of fluted corner columns, on a plain base, height 215cm, with pendulum, two weights and winder (faults). Note: David Craig is a recorded Scottish clockmaker working in Ford Pathhead near Dalkeith between 1798 and 1804.
