LOT 1179
An early Victorian Scottish mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 13-inch painted break arch dial decorated with landscape to arch and flowers to corners, with subsidiary seconds and date dials and inscribed 'Jas Christie Perth', the hood with swan neck pediment above an arched trunk door and turned columns, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 217cm, with pendulum and two weights. Note: James Christie is a recorded Scottish clockmaker working in Perth from 1820 to 1848.
