MANUSCRIPT. [A book of hand-drawn armorial bearings. N.p.: circa 1750's]. 182pp., manuscript, 8vo (193 x 152mm.) Approximately 600 hand-drawn coat-of-arms captioned with the owner's name, a few hand-coloured in red and yellow and outlined in red, some elaborately drawn, others less so. (A tear to first leaf, browning and moderate soiling throughout.) Contemporary calf (upper cover detached, loss to spine ends). Note: contains a finely drawn coat-of-arms for Robert Walpole. Provenance: Henry Dryden Bakewell (name-plate to front pastedown); Henry Hannen (morocco name-plate to the upper cover).
