An early 19th century Sicilian silver sugar bowl and cover, mark of Catania, the half reeded urn shaped body flanked by a pair of lion mask and loose beaded ring handles, raised on four mermaid supports and a shaped square base with ball feet, the domed cover with pine cone and leaf finial, town mark and 'SFC' assay master's mark to base, weight 632.8g, height 19.5cm.
