A rare 18-bore double-barrelled percussion sporting gun by Durs Egg, London, number 449, converted from flintlock, with re-browned twist barrels, barrel length 76cm, signed in gilt on rib, and fitted stepped border engraved locks with bevelled edges and signed 'D. Egg', half-stocked with engraved steel furniture (touch holes plugged, replacement patent breeches, right breech slightly bulged, worn overall), together with a modern slip case. Provenance: William Keith Neal Collection, number G597.
