An early Victorian silver gilt carriage timepiece, the eight day movement with platform escapement, the foliate engraved silvered circular dial with black Roman numerals above subsidiary day and date dials, the case with pierced scale pagoda top and crown surmount above a rosette band and four Corinthian corner columns, the sides inset with a pair of glazed panel mercury thermometers, the back with hinged door, on a plinth base, London 1839 by John Mortimer & John Samuel Hunt, stamped 'Mortimer & Hunt 218', height 16.5ocm.
