A Chinese blue and white crackle glazed vase, late 19th/early 20th century, of baluster form, painted with Shoulao seated on a deer beside a female attendant, height 25cm, together with a Japanese Satsuma earthenware bottle vase, Meiji period, enamelled with opposing red-capped cranes on a turquoise net ground, height 24.5cm (slightly reduced neck).
