A pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain moonflasks, late 19th century, each of flattened circular form, one side painted with a band of soldiers, the other with a pair of pheasants on rocks amidst peony and magnolia, within pink glazed borders filled with polychrome peaches, lotus and scrolling tendrils, applied with a pair of gilt dragon moulded handles, unmarked, height 24.9cm.
