NEWTON, John. The Works of the Rev. John Newton. London: for the author's nephew, 1816. 5 vols. (of 6), second edition, 8vo (211 x 120mm.) Portrait frontispiece, 2pp. of a handwritten poem in memory of John Newton bound-in. (Toning, occasional browning, offsetting of frontispiece.) Near contemporary black morocco over marble paper-covered boards, two red morocco lettering pieces to the spines (light rubbing). - And a further fifteen volumes of religious interest (including Albert Barnes's 'Notes, Explanatory and Practical, on the Gospels', 3 vols., 1838, 8vo) (20).
