SIBBALD, Robert. Scotia Illustrata sive Prodromus Historiae Naturalis. Edinburgh: Jacob Kniblo, Joshua Solingensis and John Colmari, 1684. Folio (374 x 243mm.) Engraved initials and ornaments, 22 engraved plates on 20 sheets. (Lacking heraldic frontispiece, browning, marginal damp-stain to preliminaries, paper repairs and staining to initial blanks, central crease to most plates, minor soiling). Contemporary vellum, blind-stamped device to covers, two red morocco lettering pieces to spine (upper joint splitting, soiling to covers). Provenance: Jeremiah Milles (armorial bookplate to front pastedown).
