A late 19th century French matt gilt brass carriage clock by Drocourt, with eight day movement striking hours and half hours and repeating on a gong, the backplate with stamped maker's mark and numbered '19581', the finely decorated circular enamel dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'J.W. Benson, Ludgate Hill, London' with turquoise band frame, within an engine turned gilt brass surround, the glazed Anglaise riche case with swing handle, bevelled glass panels and dentil bands, on a rectangular plinth base, presentation inscribed 'Kenneth Marshall from his friends at St. Moritz March 1885', height 20.2cm.
