A 1914-18 British War Medal and 1914-19 Victory Medal to 'G-60716 Pte.A.Nowell. The Queen's R.', (the British War medal officially renamed), with a First World War period memorial plaque, detailed 'Alfred Nowell', with folding card case and modern display stand, together with a Buffaloes medal, detailed 'Salisbury Lodge No210' and engraved 'Pres:to Bro;L.Nowell for services as C.Waiter 7.10.49-30.6.50'. NB: Alfred Nowell died on 23rd July 1918, aged 20, and is remembered with honour on the Soissons Memorial.
