Edward Bawden - 'Design for a Decimal 20p Piece 1962', monochrome watercolour, signed with initial 'B' recto, titled and inscribed to The Fine Art Society label verso, 22cm x 22cm, within a stained wood frame. Note: Edward Bawden was one of a number of artists who were asked to submit designs for Britain's changeover to decimal coinage. A series of these designs by Bawden are kept in the Royal Mint Museum collection, and include one for a round 50 pence piece.
