A Chinese gilded and lacquered hexagonal offering box (chanab), late Qing dynasty, made for the Straits and Peranakan Chinese, the six-sided cover with gilt decoration, the top with Buddha's hand citron, one side with a figural scene, the other side with a pavilion in landscape and precious vessels, the stand with pierced gilt gallery above carved and pierced gilt figural panels and lotus apron, raised on six Buddhistic lion feet and plinth base, height 25.2cm.
