A near pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain vases, early 20th century/Republic period, each of shouldered tapering form with flared neck and pierced handles, one painted with a figural scene of maidens beside a pavilion opposing lines of black text and a red seal, the other with two maidens standing in a garden beneath a flying bat, opposing lines of black text, heights 43cm and 42.8cm.
